Terms of Service
Effective 17 September 2026
Spin The Plates is a gentle organiser for the areas of your life. Using the app means you accept these terms.
The licence you get
You may use Spin The Plates on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, resell, rent out, reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source of the app, or use it to break the law or infringe anyone's rights.
Your content is yours
Your plates, spins, notes, reflections and commitments belong to you. We claim no ownership. Since your records live on your device, keeping your own backup file is the way to protect them — the app provides this in Profile. We are not responsible for data lost because a device failed, was reset, or because the app was deleted without a backup.
Plates Pro subscription
- Plates Pro is a recurring subscription sold through your Apple ID. The price, billing period and any trial are shown in the app, in your own currency, before you confirm.
- Pro expands the personal AI side of the app: a larger monthly AI allowance, the daily personalised suggestion, and multi-week reflection trends.
- Payment is taken by Apple when you confirm, and again at the start of each renewal period.
- It renews automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time in your Apple ID settings, at least 24 hours before the period ends; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- If a free trial is offered and you cancel before it ends, you are not charged. Starting a subscription may forfeit any unused portion of a trial.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms, not by us, though we are glad to help you ask.
- Use Restore purchases to bring an existing subscription to a new device or reinstall. Your subscription follows your Apple ID, not your data file.
AI features
AI suggestions and mentor chat are optional, off by default, and switched on per plate.
- Replies are generated automatically and may be wrong, generic or unsuitable. Use your own judgement — you know your life and your family; the app does not.
- Nothing the mentor says is medical, legal, financial, therapeutic or crisis advice. For those, speak to a qualified professional. In an emergency, contact your local emergency service.
- The mentor can only propose an action. It cannot schedule, book, move or complete anything. Nothing enters your plates unless you put it there.
- Where you name a mentoring style or a public figure as inspiration, replies draw on principles publicly associated with that approach. It is not that person, does not speak for them, and implies no endorsement.
- Each plan includes a monthly allowance of AI actions — a suggestion or a mentor reply counts as one. The allowance is shown in Profile, resets at the start of each month, and is set generously so ordinary use never reaches it. When it is used up, or AI is briefly unavailable, the app falls back to curated ideas. Generated content is always labelled.
- Everything that organises your life — unlimited plates, rhythms, commitments, reminders and your weekly reflection — works on the free plan and is not limited by a subscription.
No guarantees
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error free, or that it will produce any particular result in your life. Features may change, and features may be added or removed as the app develops.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data or lost profits, arising from your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this may not apply to you.
Ending these terms
You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may suspend access if the app is used in a way that breaks these terms or harms the service.
Apple
Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support for the app. Apple is not responsible for the app or any claim relating to it. Apple is, however, a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them.
Changes
We will update the date above when these terms change. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the revised terms.
